We've introduced two new roles to help with PlanStudio workflows in larger teams.
The Draft Publisher role is similar to the existing Diagram Publisher role, however it is restricted to publishing draft signs with watermarks only.
The Content Admin role allows you to administer diagram templates/content/icon libraries/etc, without providing access to user management capabilities.
Note that roles are designed to stack. For example, you can be a Partner User and a Draft Publisher at the same time.
The precise permissions available to each role are as follows:

Partner User
Draft Publisher
Diagram Publisher

PlanStudio now supports Dark Mode!
This shipped experimentally as part of PlanStudio 3.0, and it's now being released to all users in 3.1.
The new Dark Mode preference offers three modes:
Automatic (Use System Theme): PlanStudio will match the appearance of other apps, based on your system's settings. This is the default mode.
Enabled: PlanStudio will always appear in dark mode, ignoring your system settings.
Disabled: PlanStudio will always appear in light mode, ignoring your system settings.
When dark mode is enabled, you can turn on the new "Automatically Adjust Themes In Dark Mode" setting to make your plan appear as white lines on a dark background, enabling a 100% dark mode editing experience that may be more comfortable in low-light conditions.
This adjustment only applies in the plan editor - when you are in the diagram preview mode all colours are left as-is.
Re-bindable hotkeys
The Hotkeys window now allows you to re-bind hotkeys. You can open the Hotkeys window from the same gear menu that's used to access the Preferences window.
You can re-bind hotkeys to single keys (e.g "Q") or combinations (e.g "Shift-Q").
If you want to completely customise all hotkeys from scratch, the "Clear All Hotkeys" button allows you to clear every binding.
The "Reset Default Hotkeys" button can be used to reset your hotkey settings to PlanStudio's defaults.
You can even use and rebind hotkeys on the iPad version of PlanStudio, if you have an attached keyboard.
When making frequent changes to plans, PlanStudio will now sync your changes more often.
The character limit for short names on Alarm Zones has been increased from 2 to 3, allowing you to have up to 999 alarm zones in a single plan.
PlanStudio is now a Universal app on macOS, with native support for Apple Silicon.
We've updated the internal browser engine that powers PlanStudio on Windows/macOS, which provides minor performance improvements across the board.
The help button which opens the Resource Center is now visible throughout PlanStudio.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a crash caused by trying to import/load a corrupted theme library.
Fixed the wording of error messages that can appear when publishing so it's easier to understand what's wrong.
Fixed the calculation of square feet when using imperial units.
Fixed the ordering of alarm zones in legends.
Fixed quick switching causing publishing from the sign preview mode to publish/download the incorrect diagram.
Fixed the nav mesh brush mode causing segments to be duplicated when passing back and forth over them.
Fixed the nav mesh tool allowing you to draw overlapping segments that could sometimes cause crashes.
Kennen Sie schon unseren Mann im Inneren? Falls nicht, wird es Zeit, dass wir Ihnen Daniel Ansorge, PlanStudio-Support und freiwilliger Feuerwehrmann, vorstellen.
