Locatrix is thrilled to announce the appointment of Karen Davis to its Advisory Board.

Karen is a technology industry leader and creative thinker with over 25 years experience in professional services and technology environments – designing and scaling global communication team structures and activating results.

We're grateful that Karen has decided to join the Advisory Board of Locatrix. At a time where we scale and globalize, her experience and success provides us with confidence that we are taking the right approach. She will bring with her insights, talent management, pragmatic approach and her sense of humor to our team”.

Explained John Hummelstad CEO.

Throughout her career Karen has held a number of senior communications positions in publicly listed multi-national and global corporations across geographies and markets, including as global leader of external relations for IBM’s $17B consulting business and Corporate Communications based out of New York.

In addition to running communications for Xero - one of the fastest growing global SaaS companies in Australia [ASX:XRO], Karen serves as a Board Director for the Queensland AI Hub which fosters growth, investment and education to expand AI capabilities in the state of Queensland, Australia.

I know and have worked with John Hummelstad (CEO) and Rick Anstey (Board) and greatly respect them. Having worked in a digital scale up I see nothing but opportunities for Locatrix to take things to the next level.
I think Locatrix has the potential to be a major digital disruptor of the global indoor mapping industry.  Safety systems are only needed when it's too late or mandated by Government laws - this could be the go to for a range of industries; to help with workspace and workforce planning, security and first responder intelligence and the safety and security of humans in locations around the world. It's exciting to imagine the possibilities”.

Karen has a Bachelor of Arts in journalism, literature and public relations from the University of Southern Queensland, a Diploma of Management from Martin College and a Graduate Diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia.

Along with Lee Johnson AFSM - retired Commissioner of QFES, Alan Clarke APM – retired Assistant Commissioner NSW Police, Cameron Scott – Real Estate and Facilities Management Specialist and Andrew Roberts – Entrepreneur and Angel Investor.  Karen brings great strength to an exciting team of experienced professionals.
